WIB? No no, The Woman In Black

Ahhh, what to say? Well I won't say Harry Potter because there was no sign of him in this one...
Well in this film it seems like Daniel Radcliffe is all grown up and he's left the wand and the broom in the closet and got a job! A lawyer at that!

This film is great, it's full of suspense and keeps you on the edge of your seat all the way through it! It's a Drama, Horror, Thriller film and I know what your thinking, if you're anything like me, when you see the word horror, it's slightly off-putting but even if you don't enjoy horror films, this is a must see! To be honest it's not all that "Horrory" but just the right amount to get you in the spooky spirit! If you're new to the idea of watching a horror film, this is a great one to start with. Anyway enough about that and let's get to the plot! So as I said before, it's about a young lawyer in his late 20's - early 30's who's sent off by his firm to a remote village in order to try to sell a manor. This is his last chance or else he'll be fired. The reason being because his performance as a lawyer has been poor because of the loss of his wife but the firm can no longer take it and has given him this last chance to redeem himself. When he arrives at this village, we get a sense that he's not welcome and that the residents urgently want him to leave. We later on find out that the manor he's got to sell is said to be haunted by a vengeful ghost of a woman dressed in black. I will say no more and I it up to you to discover the mystery of the small British countryside village... Now a lot of you might think that being in the same sort of feel as Harry Potter (sort of science fictiony) that we might see Harry Potter coming out of this character but you don't at all! You completely forget that this is Harry Potter and you believe that he's this lawyer in the early 1900's on a supernatural adventure. I believe that his time acting on stage (notably Equus) has taught him a lot more about the trade of acting and this made the film so much better. In the genre it's very enjoyable, I loved every second of it and originality, well I can't really say, I'm not accustomed with Horror/Thrillers enough to say so until I am I'll leave that as a question mark and tell me in the comments how original you think it is!

Enjoyability: 9/10
Originality: (?)/10
